Summary of Training
Dr. Victoria Ngozi Ogbuji was born in Enugu, Nigeria. She attended the School of Nursing, Ministry of Health Umuahia Nigeria where she received an Associate degree in Nursing. In addition, she earned a degree in Midwifery in School of Midwifery, Ministry of Health Umuahia and became a Nigerian licensed Nurse/Midwife after passing the respective National licensure exams. After migration to the United States of America, 13 years ago, she bagged a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, a master’s degree in Family Nurse Practice from Walden University and Doctorate in Nursing from Walden University.
She also has an associate degree in Christian Education from Christian Pentecostal Seminary, North American Campus. Victoria loves and believes that being a health care provider at any level is a calling to serve humanity that influences her passion for compassionate care.
Accomplishments in Field of Medicine
Dr. Victoria Ngozi Ogbuji has 20-years’ experience in the health care service. With a special interest in clinical and Nursing leadership, she was the Director of the Golden Guinea Breweries clinic Nigeria where she influenced new policies for a safe and injury-free environment. She began preventive health services for the company workers, and their immediate dependents believing that a healthy workforce benefits the output of an organization. She later became a labor ward Midwife at the Federal Medical Center Umuahia where she empowered women during pregnancy through labor and delivery, assisting then in establishing and achieving their set health goals for self and family by building personal relationships.
In the United States, she became a Medical-surgical-Telemetry Nurse for about 2 years, then a labor and delivery Nurse while continued to practice as a Med-surg RN PRN. She also practiced as a Nurse practitioner with Total Women care and Krystal Medical Associates. She resides in New Carrollton, Prince Georges County, MD with her four sons.
Before migrating to the United States 13 years ago, Dr. Victoria was an active advocate for a healthy community, which led her to establish a clinic where she offered first aid and treated minor ailments such as malaria, typhoid, health counseling, prenatal counseling, referrals for advanced care, and follow-ups. She organized seminars for traditional birth attendants and community health assistants to promote health for the under-served communities.
Her passion is driven by the zeal to foster patient-centered and compassionate care. Bedside, she has great pride in making positive changes within her environment.
She has been practicing in different areas of health care for the last 22 years. In addition, she enjoys community services, helping others and showing love at professional and personal levels. She is the founder of Indigent Women association in Nigeria and the Founder and President of De Grace foundation a 501(3)c organization in the U.S. A. She is an ordained Pentecostal Minister and puts God first. She likes reading, writing, and teaching.
